| Summary: Manages and directs the execution of sales and marketing policies and strategies, procedures, national business, international business, Rep Network management and product development.
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED: Develops annual sales, marketing and service plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives. Directs implementation and execution of sales and marketing procedures. Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses. Incorporates the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Adjust) methodology as part of regular execution activities Oversees and directs market research and competitor analyses. Entertaining customers as it relates to business meetings, visits, and trips Some business travel required to support customer meetings, Rep visits, conferences, and exhibits.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span. The ability to monitor progress against those plans and make adjustments accordingly. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Sales and Marketing systems development and deployment. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both the strategic and functional level. Technical skills in strategic planning, sales planning, marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising. Ability to understand technical related issues and general engineering drawings Employee training and development. Strong customer orientation. Experience in Rep Network management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills. High performance teams and a strong team player. Computer Related Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) BS in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Engineering related field with technical sales experience. |
